Re: What does it feel like?Symptons-I have fibro & still work full time. It started out as an allergic reaction to a plant that caused RA in my right side (strange isn't it)and then it went into Fibro. My experience is joint pain, swelling in different joins especially in my hands and ankles & knees and extreme tiredness and alot of weight gain because of steriods & inactivity. I can sleep for days at the time and still feel tired. The weather really gets to me especially cold wet weather. Living in SC we usually don't have too much cold & wet weather. I have an extremely high CRP level ( which the drs don't know why).
Drugs- Lycrica- had a reaction to- caused permanent vertigo & hearing loss & constant ringing in my left ear.I take Cymbolta 40mg -helps with pain & keeps me sane, neurotin 200 mg for restless legs & to sleep at night, dizaide(high blood pressure medicines can cause this), a statin was just added because the high CRP causes high inflamation especially around the heart- the statin is being used for that,Provigil 100 mg to keep me awake Works really good, Voltaren gel for ankle pain. One thing you might want to have checked is your Vitamin D level. If it is low it will make you feel bad. Keep a good attitude, try to stay as active as possible, get a good psychiatrist( if possible they are great to vent too) a god RA dr & internist. Have regular blood test and educate yourself and ignore the loved ones who don't understand the disease. Get some hobbies & have faith and fight the disease. Good Luck
