Guillain-Barre Syndrome

Can anyone tell me if seizures are common when recovering from GBS? My mom was diagnsoed with GBS on Dec 2nd 2008. She was in intensive care until Jan 15th 2009. She lost all mobility and functions, souldn't even blink her eyes. She has so far recovered her respiratory ability, but still cannot swallow. And she has gotten back movement in her arms, but not controlled enough to do anything for herself. There have also been little twitches with her legs, but nothing significant. Yesterday, she had a fairly violent seizure and I don't know yet what that really means in her condition. The doctors are running some tests but no results as yet.
