Guillain-Barre Syndrome

What I really want to know is does anyone know if this could cause a relaps? I live in a small town over 2hundred mls away from any doc who even knows of GBS I can't get in to be seen till the end of the month.I don't want to live in fear of a relaps all month.I keep calling around to many docs,but they won't tell me anything over the phone. Can someone please help me?
