Unfortunately It can repeat. Currently I am schedule for my second dosis if IVIG within one year of my first occurrence (July-3-08), I had experienced a relapse on 6-29-09 and was diagnosed by the neurologist with loss of reflexes again just this past Monday (7-6-09). Next monday I'll start the IVIG for 5 days, hopefully from today until monday it wont progress that much.

I relapse 9 days after i finished my first round of treatment! It is possible but the best advise that i can give you is to educate yourself about the syndrome! It was what saved my life because the doctors and therapists on the floor did not believe me and called my Neurologist which confirmed my suspicions that i was relapsing!
