Re: Chronic HeadachesAlex, I feel for you. I have suffered from migraine headaches for 15 years now. In the last few years they sometimes last 2-3 weeks at a time. I am currently experiencing the worst one of my life. Not only is the pain unbearable but there is also numbness and tingling on my left side and a constant ringing in my ear. I was seen in the emergency room and given a neurologist number and told to see him within 2 days. When I called the office I was told they had no appointments until the end of April. I called my family doctor and the emergency room and told them the situation and had three different calls and an appointment with the neurologist 2 days later. He was fantastic. He has ordered a lot of tests and still don't know anything yet but don't feel so alone anymore. I have currently missed 3 weeks of work and cannot return until I see him again when all the tests are back but I feel hopeful that he can help. I encourage you to try to get a sooner appointment and tell your neurologist EVERYTHING! The more he/she knows the more they can help. Good luck to you, and please don't just accept medication after medication and spend years in pain as I did.
Roberta
