Headaches

Post a new topicby geerdesj on Wed Dec 03, 2008 3:47 pm

Good Afternoon, I am new to this..... I too have been dealing with headaches for quite a while... I want to say for almost 2 years, but this year, actually the last 4 months have been the worst.... over the last 2 years, I would get headaches in the front of my face, pressure, would go in and they would treat me for sinse infection. Last year, they added a nazel allergy medicine to my daily usage.. At the beginning of this year I started the same way, since pressure and headaches. When in and they gave me antibotics. Took them until gone, a few weeks later went back in this time the pressure was not just above my eyes but all around them.. the Dr. gave me a longer does of antibotics. In April I went back in once again, this time they took xrays stating that all 4 of my sinces where infected and one again was put on antibotic. I receive a follow up letter stating that I need a CT scan that they thought they saw an abnormalty... got that done, all came back okay... During this time I was still using the nazel spray.... Frist week in Sept. I went back in same sympoms. was put on 5 days of antibotic. Went back in a few days after the medicine was out for pressure was not gone. Took yet another Xray, and was put on 5 more days of Antobotics... After that medicine was gone, I gave up going. 3 weeks later the headaches got worse. They start in the back of my neck, and continue up around and radiate towards my eyes... I was up to 9 Ibreprophins a day with some relief.... it was just about a daily issue.... So I made an appointment with a ear, nose and Throat specialist... he looked at my x-rays, and CT scans and said he doesn't think they are related to sinses.... he forwarded me to a Chiropractor ... did treatments with him for almost 3 weeks... the headaches lightened some, but where still there. Woke up with them in the morning and went to bed with them... mostly tolerable, but there where days all I wanted to do is cry.... He then sent me back to my Dr. who then forwarded me to the eye dr.... Eyes checked out... I am farsighted, but she said not enough that she would link the headaches to poor eyes.... having not seen anyone for over 2 weeks... I am unsure where to turn next..... Do I do the MRI like my Chiropractor suggested....
Symptoms as of today - Today my headache was a 7 on a scale from 1-10.... (drank some pepsi and that lightened a little)... When I wake up in the am I have a dull ache in the back of my neck.. left base of my head...up the side of my head right behind my ear...( when I have these pressures I am unable to lay on that side of my head - too much pressure).. when it gets worse it will radiate up over my head to my face.... right know the whole left side of my face hurts... (4 on my 1-10 scale....) and my left eye feels funny... tired???... just wierd... on the days this gets worse it will radiate on the right side as well .... Funny part is these headaches just don't happen at work, I can be at home (like this weekend) and they get strong....

Please would love some ideas....
