heart Attack? TiA? what?

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Mar 14, 2005 5:20 pm

4 years ago, I had an incredible stabbing pain in my chest around or in my heart. This Initial pain episode lasted 15 to 30 seconds and felt as if a knife slipped into my flesh and then a hand grabbed my heart. It came out of the blue and dropped me out of my chair. Due to the strange circumstance that I don't wish to get into, I couldn't do anything about this or get to the hospital.
I didn't break out into a sweat.
I did however lose my breath. I couldn't catch my breath and breathing was difficult at best. For 5 or 6 days thereafter, it felt as if my heart was located up between my clavicles, especially when i was laying down to sleep at night. I sleep on my back.
I have been extremely weak since then, especially my left arm. My legs have lost all strength. I used to be quite active yet as the years progressed, I am no longer able to even run around the block ( Prior to this initial episode, I was training for mini triathalon type events. )
Upon any excitement, I would " lose my breath" and start a sort of coughing fit. What was weird is that whereas previously I was a pretty good whistler, afterwards I couldn't get a noise to come out.

After this initial episode, I have had the weirdest and most painful headaches and neuralagia of my life. The pain started over my left eye and caused eye twitching, then the pain moved over to my right eye ( twitching too ) then spread out like a soup bowl; spreading over and down my head and face.

The headaches and facial pain still persist, the facial pain localized to my left eye mainly.

My left arm is markedly weaker than my right arm. My legs are now about 20 % as what they once were in terms of strength. I have no endurance whatsoever. And whenever I do get the energy to do any type of exercise , I am completely exhausted afterwards.
