I don't know what to do.

Post a new topicby thughes on Fri Nov 16, 2007 1:33 pm

I am only 21 and my body feels 45 already. For the past 6 years I have been having headaches everyday and migraines a couple times a month or less. When I was younger my family doctor took xrays of my sinuses and my spine (I have mild scoliosis) but things looked normal enough not to cause my symptoms. My husband is in the Air Force so I have to see military doctors. I have had CT scans and MRIs and they have all been inconclusive. I have been seeing a neurologist and have been on differents meds to include: Prozac, Inderal, Tylenol 3, Inderal slow release, and Ultram. None of this has worked. I just had another MRI yesterday and also talked with my doctor. I asked if it could be some kind of food allergy or maybe my scoliosis had gotten worse and could be causing them. She said that she didn't think it was a food allergy and that I wasn't having any muscle spasm so it isn't my spine. I have had eye exams and my eyes dilated. My neurologist thought it was rebound headaches from taking Excedrin (the only thing that I get relief from) so I detoxed for 6 weeks and had no results. I cannot find triggers and the pain is not always in the same spot. Sometimes I get pain in the back of my neck that will spread up and over my forhead to my eyes. Most of the time the pain starts in my forhead and behind my eyes. I have pain when moving my eyes at the time of a headache as well. I am just trying to find any kind of relief and/or help...I just don't know what to do anymore and I refuse to except that this is normal. Please help me!

Have you considered BAM? It is a type of migraine that does not respond to the popular migraine headaches. I should know, I figured it out, w/o a doctors help. Once I suggested to my doctor the BAM diagnosis, things changed. The caffine in the excedrin is probably what helps. Try eating chocolate, or chocolate covered coffee beans. It's a great excuse. If you are diabtetic, they an energy drink.
