Left Hemifacial Spasm

So I am a 26 year old woman, mother of 3. Since the age of 15 I slowly developed what was diagnosed at about the age of 18 as Left Hemifacial spasm. I’ve learned to live with this, but others still stare and even think I am winking at them as to “check them out” My husband and children think this is normal, but know it bothers me ALOT! Jennifer, I don't know what kind of insurance you have, but you need to pursue this. Unless you're applying for Botox treatments from a plastic surgeon, insurance should cover treatments, even surgery. There is all kinds of medical documentation about the disabilities that arise from HFS -- social problems and vision problems, among other. Don't let them tell you treatment is not medically necessary!
