Hemifacial Spasm

has anyone tried accupuncture to help with hemifacial spasms? I have tried Botox at the beginning with no relief and I am nervous and was told by my doctor that the surgery is risky - it is hard to live with and I am looking for relief for my facial twitches - please let me know if you have had success with accupuncture at all

I was resently told by a doctor that I also have hemi facial spasam.I did try acupuncture for the neck and face,but only got temperary relief.I gave up on alternative therapy for this a while back but Im not dismissing It entirely.Im about to embark on the botox route.Ive always been a confidant person but can I tell you this one Is a real confidance breaker.I just want to be free of the spasams.I think that If you were to find a good alternative acupuncturist who understands what hemi spasams are and how there linked to a nerve in the brain stem,Its worth a try.I was told my condition was cronic by my acupunturist.It did help to relax the mucles around the neck and helped me sleep better.Try It you have nothing to lose.Sinceraly hope you get better.I know what you must be going through.
