hydrocephalus in vancouver canadai was recently diagnosed with hydrocephalus. they did the spinal drain, with no complications. ie headches etc. i got up and walk. I had several visit from the neurosurgeon and he suggested that I am a good candidate for installing the shunt. he subsequently sent me home and asked me to do another CT scan then he will review my condition in a month.

Re: hydrocephalus in vancouver canadaI too appear to be in the "same boat"...I've had a CT scan, two MRI's. My walking is just ok but starting to "shuffle" a bit, incontinence is starting (frequent small pees). I am reluctant to have my brain bored and shunt installed but that seems to be the only choice...meanwhile I probably fool myself thinking I can walk more and "work my way through it"... I'm chicken to be shunted at the moment, but I'm guessing about the time I'm a borderline blithering veggie, I'll give up and get it done.
