Just diagnosed

Post a new topicby marianne on Sun Oct 07, 2007 6:42 pm

I am in my mid 20s and was diagnosed with a moderate hydrocephalus after an MRI scan picked it up. I went to get checked out after my eyesight was going blurred every so often. I haven't seen the nuerologist yet because I'm a public patient so the waiting list is quite long. Hopefully will see him within the next 2 months or so. I just don't really know what to expect. Does everyone with hydrocephalus need surgery? My symptoms aren't constant and don't interfere to much with my daily life. I suppose I'm just looking for some advice about this, because its seems to be taking forever to see the nuerologist. I'd just like an idea of what to expect. Thanks!!
