Migraines taking over!

Post a new topicby aredmond on Mon Oct 22, 2007 3:19 pm

Let me give a little background of my health spiraling down as of 3 months ago... I stopped nursing my daughter 3 months ago and started a new birth control pill that same week. I suddenly could not sleep. I would lay there and and feel tired, but could not physically sleep. This went on for a week. I called the doc and got Ambien and a new birth control Have been sleeping, but needing more Ambien than usual to stay asleep. I have had 2 migraines in the last month and today about did me in. I have auras and could not handle my 19 month old which scared me! That stopped then the pain started, had to get my brother to drive me to get my 6 year old son from school I feel like I am falling apart at 36 years old! Any suggestions?? Should I call my doc? I had a MRI 5 years ago when got first migraine and found nothing. The sleep issue is dominating my life. Help!

I hope you are doing better too, it definately sounds hormonal. I sure hope you found the relief that you needed! I had a problem while being on the pill, they had me change the time of day I was taking it, and that actually helped believe it or not. I never thought it would be helpful...I was like, yeah right ok...I will take it in the morning like that is going to do anything...but it actually did.

Hope you are feeling better :)
