Re: Dystoniajust curious does multifocal dystonia mean you don't have a specific diagnosis, if not what is it?
Re: Dystoniai have a closed head tbi from a motor vehicle accident, 8 yrs have passed. currently am receiving botox therapy - focusing on my right arm at this point. some of my dr's have referred to part of my injury as dystonia, some contractures, tone, spasticity, left side partial paralysis. my tendons are shortening from inactivity and finger movement is getting more and more difficult - opening the hand, etc. botox shots are relaxing my biceps and forearms to ease movement. my injury is to the basal ganglia and pons of the upper brain stem. i go to the UCSD Neuro Center LaJolla Calif and San Diego locations every 3 months. i am also interested in more precise input from botox recipients who have any suggestions, recommendations. some of the shots are hit and miss and the process is lengthy. Thank you!
