extremely slow moving son

Post a new topicby spb070867 on Tue Aug 14, 2007 10:49 pm

I have a big concern for my 19 yr old son. He has always been overweight. When I say always, I mean from the minute he was born. For this reason, we have always blamed the weight on the fact that he only has one speed and that is slow. However, the older he has gotten, the concern has grown. He is having a hard time keeping a job. Over the years, I have just assumed it was a little of the weight issue and just pure laziness. But now I am starting to see how much he wants to be doing a good job, but just cant seem to move with any speed at all. He doesnt hurry to walk even if someone is waiting on him or if he is running late. Its bizarre, and I am wondering if there is any type of disorder that could possibly fall under these symptoms.

Not that I am aware of but I am not a neurologist, perhaps you should have him your pediatrician or family doctor as the first step
