In general, the feeling of jumping (myoclonic jerking) can happen to normal healthy people. You should let your doctor know about your different symptoms, what triggers them, what makes them better, and what other things they are associated with.

I don't know what happen to "It's a Mystery"part 1, so I will try and recap the other symptoms I have. Started with symptoms that lead me to think it was Carpal Tunnel. Months later stinging slowly spread up my arms. When it hit my shoulder it spread rather quickly through my chest and back. Like having the worst sunburn of your life and wearing sandpaper clothes. Then I started having sharper stinging pains in parts of my thighs. Slowly it seemed to go away in my arms and chests and stayed at the joints (wrists, elbows, hips and ankles) also a deep ache. Now if I keep in the same postion for any length of time every thing below the waist becomes very stiff. Legs feel very muscular, while the rest of me is feels weaker. I have had almost every test and everything comes back good. I still need a EMG and Lumbar Puncture. I think I have had 3 bouts with double vision but, it may have been the medicenes I taking, Neurontin, Elavil, Ultram and an occasional Percocet. It's still a mystery what could be causing this. I have not had even so much as a cold in the last 8 years. Solve this mystery and I will wish you good luck and happiness. OK, I will wish that for you anyway. Jim

I answered your question last evening in the General neurology forum where your questions was placed. It sounds like a rheumatologist may be helpful, as a careful evaluation of your joints, and any specialized blood tests for connective tissue or auto-immune type disorders would help complete the work-up. Good luck.
