My mom has MSMy mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis last summer, and it came as a shock to her and me, her daughter. She studied the different drugs and their side effects, but decided to take a different route from what her doctors had suggested. She decided to face her disease naturally. She changed her diet and started to eat healthier. She attended a two week mission where she under went a complete cleanse. Since this change in lifestyle, the lesions on her brain have shrunk tremendously and significantly. My question is, why isn't this way of treating MS more accepted by doctors and encouraged for patients?

Re: Re: My mom has MSI am sorry to hear about your mothers MS. My husband has a first cousin who has had it for around 20 yrs, at that time many current treatments were not available, she is now wheel chair bound and not able to do much for herself. Our daugter-in-law was diagnosed with ms around 3 years ago. She was put on Avonex (A weekly shot) and is doing pretty good. She works, takes care of her family and still is able to do what she wants within limits. She still has the symptoms of ms such as the weakness, tiredness, etc but considering is doing pretty good. I hope that your mother will think more on her doctors advice.
