my teenage daughter

Post a new topicby kimon24 on Mon Nov 05, 2007 10:11 pm

Recently my teenage daughter has been having some right leg and right arm numbing. Took her to our GP and she recommended an MRI with and without contrast. They suspect MS All tests came back normal. Her leg feels better but today she tells me that her right arm feels weaker than normal. She does weight training at school and can feel a difference from what she is used to. Can symptoms change that quickly? Our next step is a visit to a neurologist. That is not for many weeks though. We are pretty nervous about that appointment. I know our problems are minor compared to a lot of other postings but any words of wisdom from somebody that has been in our position would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

yes, MS symptoms can change that fast. However, don't jump to any conclusions yet. Go see the neurologist to get some better (and more qualified) answers.

Good luck to you and your daughter. I am one of the blessed ones with MS in that there are alot of people out ther MUCH worse than me.

The worst part is the part you create in you own mind. stay positve and talk to the expert.

BTW the MRI is an excellent idea.
