sensation of cold water thrown on me

Hello all. I have the sensation of cold water being thrown on me while I'm sleeping. I will wake up gasping and feel as though I should be wet, but, obviously, I never am. It's quite disturbing to say the least. Has anyone ever had the same sensation?

Thanks for any information anyone may be able to provide.
