I think my husband has MSA. Please help!!My husband has been going through many test for the last 3 1/2 years. 3 EMGs, 2 MRIs, a nerve & muscle biopsy, numerous blood tests, has had immugloban blood treatments & they still don't really know what is wrong with him. He has had three nuerologists. His symptoms are: stiff legs when walking, extremely dry mouth and dry skin, 2 types of neuropathy impotence, urinary retention, he has started snoring when he sleeps, his feet, legs and arms move when he is sleeping, he is fatigued all of the time & has edema in his lower legs, difficulty swallowing. I could go on but I'm sure you see. They have ruled out many diseases & they cannot seem to pinpoint what is causing all of the symptoms so I have been doing some research myself. He had an MRI a couple of weeks ago & they said he had a gliosis on his frontal lobe. No clue what that is so I looked it up and what could be causing it. I found MSA was on that list so I read the symptoms & couldn't beleive what I was reading. It sounds like what he has. I even bought a blood pressure cuff & without telling my husband what my suspisions are, I took his blood pressure sitting down & standing up. His blood pressure was lower when he stood up. I have done it a few times now & everytime it is lower after he stands up. He is going to the doctor this Wednesday & I am going to ask his doctor about this. I just wanted to know what anyone thinks. Also, my husband 4 years ago wasn't on any medicine & now he is on 11 different perscriptions. He is only 51 years old & he gets very depresesd x times because he feels so week & awful but there isn't really a name to what he has. Pleaes help!!! Thank you!
