MG - I was just very recently diagnosed

Post a new topicby livingwith on Tue Sep 02, 2008 4:23 pm

I can share Sharon’s story about the couch and not being able to do the things that I have always done. I kept telling everyone something was wrong and I was so tired and extremly weak, all the time. No appetite, nausea and what goes in must come out.
My children are 27 and 18, my 18 year old I barely made it to his Graduation, but I would not have missed that for anything. I did buy him a new Eclipse, manly hunter green for graduation, but that took every bit of energy I had, but some...Read the full article

HI, my name is Tina and I am 35 years old and a mother of a 2yr.old girl. I was recently diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis about 6 months ago...now in remission for 4 months (thank God) but for the past 3 months I have gone from high intensity body-building/cardio workouts ( 6-7 days a wk x 1.5-2.5 hours a day) for 12 yrs. now, to struggling to finish them, and then having to lay down for hours, to now, I can't hardly even do house work and take care of my 2yr. daughter.
I have been couch ridden (mostly) for going on 6 wks now and have severe nausea, motion sickness from everything, daily bouts of Vertigo, when I am really bad its hard to talk and my thinking and memory is sluggish and I am easily agitated when I am really fatigued. My morning is best for about an hour or two, then it goes down hill very fast and I sometimes have trouble catching my breath/ everything makes me winded and today it felt like I had someone sitting on my chest all day. My vision has been distorted 24/7 it's kind of like everthing's far away or like you're on some sort of pain med, like in a fog or a part of your brain is anesthatized. It gets so bad at times during the day that I can't focus, or anything I look at makes me sick, especially if it's the T.V. or people moving. After I've been a wake for an hour or two (sometimes present even upon rising) My eye lids droop and it's so hard to keep them open.
I've had EVERY test imagineable, in the hospital 2x's from near syncope (passing out) and then would have trouble talking, walking, a few swallowing episodes (3), etc for hours after a bad near syncope episode. I haven't had that in two weeks, but The episodes were 1 week a part and right now, I am just soooo frustrated! I feel very weak and have total body fatigue daily and it's getting worse.
I am seeing an Endocrinologist, ENT, and Neurologist. I've had so many blood tests and they all come back fine same with the MRI,CT,and Cardioecho, etc.
My Neurologist wants me to get everything ruled out by the Edocrine and the ENT docs before he'll test me for the EMG.
I've had to do all my own research (and my mom) just to find this! All my doctors say that they don't see anything wrong with me ......."I'm an Enigma" so they say, or DEPRESSED..
I see my symptoms in a lot of what's described here.........I just wish I could get some answers so I can live again. Any suggestions or comments would be most helpful :)
Desperately WAITING.............
