Is my neurologist as smart as he thinks he is

Post a new topicby bennettrl1980 on Thu Sep 04, 2008 6:03 pm

I was diagnosed 2 months ago with MG I had an abnornmal EMG test, double vision, slurred speech muscle fatigue the usual. The anti body tests i was given were normal and I am not reacting to steroids or mestinon. can it be possible that i have some other condition and i have been type cast as having MG?

I understand that lyme disease has some symptoms that mimic MG. Our pastor's son had neuromuscular symptoms for two years before being diagnosed with lyme. He was checked for many neuromuscular diseases and finally saw a physician in Ohio that correctly dx'd him. His treatment has been long and rough but he is recovering. Just a thought. He by the way, did not have the typical rash some have from the initial bite which is why is took so long to figure it out.
