Test shows positive result for Myasthenis Gravis

Post a new topicby azeem on Thu Oct 15, 2009 5:51 am

Hi,

My wife has just been suggested for MG (Myasthenia Gravis) tests by her Doctor and she went through Blood tests and EMG Test. Blood Test shows the MG on Intermediate Stage EMG suggested MG is positive

Here i like to mention her history;

• Idopatic Urticaria for last four years
• Hypertensive congenitally
• Asthma by birth congenitally
• Different type of Skin disorder is found in her all siblings
• Foot pain
• Back Pain
• Tardiness (when lies on bad it’s really hard to get off)
• Spinning
• Knee Joint pain
• Brucing
• Double vision for last few months
• She had a respiratory failure three months back and Doctors diagnosed (Idiopatic pulmonary fibrosis) she went really severe however after 20 days ICU treatment she survived and started recovering now her chest x - ray seems all Ok which were really patched at the time of that crisis.

She is on steroids dosage for last four years with reference to her Urticaria disease.

We didn’t start the MG (Myasthenia Gravis) treatment as yet and she is on her regular steroid dosage.

She just has conceived a week back and pregnant

However I m seeking a suggestion that for which Doctor we need to go either a General Physician or any Neuro Specialized Doctor or Other Specialized domain Doctor we need to look for, and what are the other preventive and treating measures she needs to follow,

If any one can suggest?????????
