Post a new topicby livingwith on Thu May 21, 2009 1:04 pm

I always had birthmarks as a child. I did not start getting the bumps on my skin until I was 30- that was in 1995.I remeber because it was about the time I got divorced.Could be that the stress made it appear-I dont know. It never bothered me at all but I had a large mole( it was a neurofibroma) removed I think it was in 2003.that was when I was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis
Some people look at me and ask about it or ask me whats wrong with my skin,It never really bothers me,especially now t...Read the full article

Hi
I find your article interesting. I was born with a tiny birthmark on my face which left me. The first lump i had was when I was 9 years old, got it surgically removed by a "butcher" doctor who nearly crippled me.
However, it was only in my 30s same age as you when I got lots of little moles I would call them on my back and that was after a break up - broken engagement. I also believed it was stress that caused this. This was in america, I decided to go to a doctor who informed me that if I was pregnant I probably would have a deformed child, and if the cysts were deeper, I could drop dead - charming, eh?
So, in one day I was dumped by my financee not for my health for his own personal issues he faced in himself, told I could never have children and then told I could drop dead ...?
Good job, I have strong faith ..... by this age, I am meant to be deaf, blind deformed ... that is 20 years on ... and guess what guys I'M NOT.
I started going to a lazer guy .... who used to take them off for me ....
Now, I look good for 50 ... look like 30 ... yet feel ugly and terrified that men would never find me attractive, never stopped them though ...
I have heard that there are cures that they are using in third world countries ... for neurofibrmitosis, somewhere in the states, a couple had a child who was severely damaged ... and this professor helped, and the child is ok now. How come, no ones speaks of those things???
