I am now 44, but I did not start getting the bumps until I was 30. The doctor said it can be passed down to the kids and they recomend those with NF not to have any. I had my daughter when i was 19. She does not have any signs of it yet, she does have a few small moles but no bumps= hopefully she will not get them.
