Neurofibromatosis

My son is 14. We adopted him as a young child, his birth mother has NF1.

He has been pretty much cleared of having inherited the gene. Other than being quite small for his age and not very high attention levels, shows no other symptons.

However, in the last year, he has started showing extreme mood swings. He is either the good,
sensitive child he always was or he suddenly gets quite aggressive (not physically), but very
much 'in your face'

Are there any links that I can work with, or is there no connection.

I would appreciate any comments.
