birth control

Post a new topicby brownsugar on Sat Mar 29, 2008 10:09 pm

i have NF1. i have read in other peoples stories that when they get pregnant more bumps will come out because of hormones. i was wondering if birth control pills do the same? if there's anyone who knows a little something about this it would be really helpful. thanks.

I also have nf1, i take birth control pills, but have noticed a few changes but whether they are due to that i do not know, if they do affect i'd say it would only be mild, ask your dr they should answer any queries you have

I did not have any bumps until my first pregnancy. I did get more with my second and was not diagnosed until my second child was about 3. I have been told by doctors that puberty and/or pregnancy is a time when more bumps will occur.
