I am a 42 year old man who has been fighting leg pain in both my lower legs but not my feet. I have had every test, xray and MRI they can come up with. They say I have PN just because there is nothing else to call it. Has anyone every just had the lower leg pain that does not go into the feet? Cold seems to effect it greatly and any long time spent on my legs. Along with pain is weekness. Am I alone in this type of pain?

Have you been tested for PAD or PVD( Peripheral vascular disease)? It is so often overlooked and can be tested for very easily with an ankle brachial test...similar to taking a blood pressure...only its done on the foot leg and ankle....I had the test....had had problems with pain on walking short distances...tingleing and pain like I'd run a marathon. At its worst it reached into my thighs. It was caused by a small blockage in one of the arteries in my calf. I recently had an angioplasty to repair it and the outcome is awesome! Within 2 days of the surgery I was back to walking...even up inclines without ANY pain. Just a thought to help maybe narrow down the possibilities.
