Re: feet painI can't believe it but your description is exactly how I described my situation re: walking on rocks and having the balled up sock under my toes. I also have the same feelings in both hands. Haven't had any luck with Docs. or with a cause. I am now being treated with pain meds. I have had nerve conduction study and emg with zero results. Am frustrated by the medical industry.
Re: feet painMy pain has been for about 2 years and varies in location, feet all the time, some times in the hands.
MRI, XRAYS, blood work all clean. Skin biopsies confirmed small fiber neuropathy. The confirmation is all though. Treatment is limited to a varity of drugs and getting it right, well in my case it nothing has worked. Low level pain pills work best but are not a good fix for this. The drug options make me tired, dumb, clumsy and everything else not good. Very limited activity and I mean limited. No social life to speak of and pain that can strike at any time. I tried shoes, no shoes, slippers, no slippers, you name it. 5 doctors 3 from Johns Hopkins and visited Hopkins for tests. No one knows how to treat it so I am in the books for a good case study I guess. If you do not have diabetes, and no injury, chances are you may be suffering from post herpetic nerve pain. Chicken Pox may even be why this is happening. Obviously I am not a doctor but in the case of neuropathy neither are the doctors except for being able to prescribe meds. They cannot fix it and really can't be sure why anyone has it. What a drag. Good luck to everyone. Signed, Gordon Lightfoot - ha

Re: feet painI've been going through it for 2 years. pain on the bottom of my feet soooo bad that i cant't function. I went to a special surgical podiatrist last week. she gave me injections which have me pain free. the shots are awful. she will be doing other things but i'm not sure what. i was shocked to find out othert people are going through this horrible foot pain like me. i'm glad (and sad) to know there areother people. i have never heard of it before.
