Re: my poor dads wet feelingsI am so sorry to hear about your Fathers condetion. I too suffer from Neroupathy and have for about 5 years. Neuropathy can cause different sensations. My Neutopathy causes me savage pain in both my legs and feet below my knees. Because your Father had his surgery a few weeks ago he has not had time to heal. The nerves are still irritated and that may be why the sensation has not gone away yet.
Thare is hope if it does not go away. My legs below my knees and down to my feet feel like they have Ace bandages wrapped around them as tight as you can wrap them. The pain in my feet is savage and I do mean savage!! On June 4th. this year I had a "spinal cord stimulator" implanted in my spine to mask the sensations and pain. The stimulator is not a cure but a treatment for chronic pain suffers. It is expecialy good for Neuropathy. You trade one sensation(pain or in your Fathers case, wetness) for another sensation(tingling) Believe me i will take the tingling any day. The stimulator has cleared up my leg problems 100% and the foot pain 50%!! I feel almost normal again!! I say "almost" normal because normal people do not tingle or have a battery implanted in their back that has to be recharged every week. I sorta feel like a wind up toy. Wind me up and i am good to go for another week. LOL I still must take narcotics for the break thru pain but not in the amount i was taking!! Life is goos again. I have my life back!! To find out more about the stimulator implant type "spinal stimulator" in a search box and it will take you to several sites that will show videos or explain how one works. Spine Health is an excellent site to view a video and to read the pain forums from prople who has a stimulator such as myself. Please tell your Father not to give up hope coz he can get help!! I understand his flusteration. I know exactly how he feels. You may leave a comment to me and i will answer any question you may have. Best of luck to you and your dear Father and may the sun always shine on you. Please let us know how your Father is doing. Tell hem to keep his chin up.....he is going to get help!! Patsy
