Neuropathy in left armI am 43 years old and suffered a mild stroke in late Feb. I am fully recovered except for the lingering effects of a tingling, burning sensation in my left arm my neurologist has termed neuropathy It comes and goes as I get more tired or worn out. It feels like I am starting a fever. I have also been having problems with my blood pressure (no problems with blood pressure until now), up and down depending on the time of day and activity.

Re: Neuropathy in left armI absolutely disagree with the prognosis that if your Neuropathy lasted 18 months, it is then considered permanent. Don’t know where you heard that, but I know of at least three (3) different people who had Neuropathy for years. One had the disease for 4 years, another for 5 years and I spoke to a man who after 7 years, as quick as the Neuropathy came, the pain, numbness and tingling left his body. I’m not saying everyone will be so lucky, but there are people who do get well. I also have had Neuropathy myself for about 22 months now. My diet consists of foods that are high sources of vitamins. I deal with this each and every single day, and realize I might have this rest of my life. I also know nerves can and do repair themselves. I wish you the very best, but always carry hope.
