Agent Orange

Post a new topicby hospiceguy on Sat Aug 01, 2009 3:36 pm

I'm a Vietnam Vet who developed idiopathic peripheral neuropathy in 1999. Does anyone know of any professional papers examining neuropathy vis-a-vis agent orange exposure? Alternatively, are there any veterans out there who have experience getting VA to reverse a denial of benefits for exposure to Agent Orange?

I was in Vietnam around agent orange & they too turned me down on Neuropathy, as I have it in legs ankles feet, but I think that mine is from Diabetic Neuropathy now and going to turn in a claim for that. along with pain I mentioned I also have trouble with urination & bowels x times.

Good luck John. I've been hassling this disability application for 4 years and I'm about to give up. I don't have any new information to bring to VA. I hope you have a better chance for your claim because of your diabetes (too bad it has to come to that). VA denied my claim because the onset of neuropathy didn't come within a year of Vietnam service. I'll give up and save what little hair I have left from being pulled out in frustration.
