Can EMG cause shock pain symptoms?

Post a new topicby sarahbh on Wed Jun 24, 2009 12:43 pm

I have been diagnosed with ideopathic small fiber peripheral neuropathy My original symptoms were limited to foot cramps and moving toes. However, since my EMG test, I've also been having electrical shock pain and tingling and it's also moving up into my calves. The shock pains started up in the evening of the same day I had the EMG test and they have continued since. Is there any evidence that EMG can actually cause these symptoms? I never had them before the test.
