skin discoloration in obese people is often due to poor circulation to the area or underlying metabolic diseases like diabetes

I've noticed that the skin at the back of my neck is too dark, I'm obese by 269 lbs, I think I need to consult a doctor.

Please see your doctor. I'm the host of Functional Fitness on PBS and an Occupational Therapy Practitioner. Skin discoloration can be a sign of neuropathy caused by vascular disease from diabetes.
