Unhappy with my body

Post a new topicby Care4UrMind on Thu May 15, 2008 8:51 pm

I feel like I've spent my whole life ALMOST in shape, ALMOST healthy, but haven't quite been able to get to that place where I'm really psyched about my body. I've tried every diet and workout routine...anyone have anything else I might try?

something i like to have in the morning for breakfast has helped me a lot recently. I basically start the day with a glass of water with lemon and then making my first meal a green shake. Yep, veggies for breakfast. Still doesn’t hit the spot like a pile of pancakes, but I’ve lost seven pounds in the last month and a half and my skin is looking a lot brighter and clearer. There is a recipe for the green drink in the “Harmonic Wealth” book by James Ray. Good luck and God bless!

sam, the james ray fan.

The problem with looking at our bodies and feeling happy with what we see is that we can rarely look at ourselves objectiveley. Perhaps you are 5'5, and 120 pounds, or 4'5 and 130, what does perfect mean to you?. If you have already tried every diet, and excercise, then maybe you should just accept your body the way it is. Don't you think it's exhausting to be thinking about the way your body looks, and how you can make it look better? Be honest with yourself; would you be able to realize that you had that amazing body, if it happened,or would you want something even better than that at that point?

I know what it's like to be fixated with one's body, and I know what it's like to feel even trapped in a body that doesn't represent the way you feel on the inside, and want to look on the outside. However, although I have gained some weight lately, due to lack of exercise, I feel generally more happy with myself even though I have been slimmer.

My advice to you is not another diet, but to excercice in a healthy way, because it makes you feel good about yourself, even if you are not "perfect", the way you want to be.
