Alopecia

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat May 25, 2002 6:26 am

I don't know where else to turn so I am hoping you can help. Since taking PD meds I have been experiencing hairloss. Spent a fortune on dermatologist's visits and tests - no answer. This is very depressing and I think one of my meds might be the culprit. Do you know if any of the following cause excessive hairloss: Sinemet, Requip, selegiline or amitriptyline? Thank you SO MUCH.

Many medications can cause hair loss, including the medications that you are taking. You should see your neurologist and discuss whether any of your medications are the likely culprit.
