Blatter dysfunction

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu Sep 12, 2002 12:41 am

A dear friend has parkinson's early stages and has blatter dysfunction and now has to wear a catheter and was told that the PD may be a facter. Is this common?? Also has severe pain in right leg which is also affected with PD tremors Could this be connected with the Pd or spinal problems. He's had cat scans,MRI, spinal dye injection and they can't seem to locate the problem. He is in almost constant and severe pain. Isn't PD a relatively painless disorder?? please reply ASAP
Sincerely,
Charles

Some patients with PD can have bladder dysfunction. A careful urological evaluation can help determine on what basis the problems are occurring. Pain can occur in the setting of rigidity, tremor, or other factors assocaited with PD, such as with side effects from the medications.
