Changing Doctors

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat May 18, 2002 6:04 am

I have been seeing the same neurologist for four years but now (because of progression of PD symptoms) feel I need a doctor who is more knowledgeable in treating PD. I am in the process of making an appt. with a MDS. My question: Is it necessary to send my records over to the new neurologist? I would like to keep the old neurologist just in case I don't like the new one. Thank you.

It is very important the new doctor receive the old records. A copy of records is made, so all of your permament records should be kept with your present doctor.
