last stages of parkinson diseases

Post a new topicby goretti on Wed Jun 24, 2009 3:18 am

parkinson diseases is not new to our family ,my grand mother had but she lived for nearly hundred years without any medication cause during those days we were not aware of the disease ,it was 1970.after that my uncle got the parkinson disease but he refused to admit it we tried telling him to go to the neurologist but refused and last year he died he was 92,without any medication.
now my brother turned out to be the next victim of the disease ,for the last 6 years he has been suffering but nobody wanted to admit so 3 years back i forced them to take him to a neurologist ,at that time he was not able to move properly he could not eat had to be fed ,toilet was not possible so the doctor gave him sometreatment and in no time he was moving arround ,but still with little difficulty .so he was taken to another doctor in bombay for consultation and now his medication is changed ,he is taking
piracetam 800mg 1 per day
inderal 2 per day
amantrel 2 per day
nervigen 2 per day
pramipex 0.5mg 3 per day
syndopa plus 3 times a day
ecosprin 75mg 1 per day.

inspite of all this treatment my brother is not showing any sign of improvement ,he is completly bedridden ,he cannot talk just smiles,he has to be dragged to move ,he cannot go to the toilet his intake of food is less.please i will be happy to know if there is any other way to help my brother.
