Parkinson's Tremor's QuestionHi,
My husband is 59 and we found out he has Parkinson's about a year ago. He is still trying to work and finds his tremors in his left hand make it difficult to do his work. Are there any medicines or treatments to help with the tremors? He is taking carbodoba/Levadoba combo and he takes vitamins but other than that nothing for tremors that we know of. I am new on this site and couldn't help but notice most people read the topics but not too many reply. Any replies would be apprecated. Thank you for your time.
Re: Parkinson's Tremor's Questionrandaree,
i also am 59and was dx 9 yrs ago. initially i was on carb/lev and myrapex, but it caused some very disturbing side effects. after stopping the myrapex the tremors were back with a vengeance. my neuro prescribed clonazapam, which is for anxiety, but also for siezures and tremors. there was an adjustment period, but after a short time it has been very affective with almost no problematic side effects. it of course is totally up to his neuro, but has been very effective for me. good luck with everything. be strong.
