Recently diagnosed

Post a new topicby Judy Friend on Mon Oct 13, 2008 2:37 pm

My husband who is 54 was just diagnosed with PD. He has had symptons that I have noticed for about 6 months, but he says now that he thinks of it, it has been more like 1-2 years. He works as a General Manager is a Restaurant. Of course we are worried about how long he will be able to continue working. We have had only one appt with his neurologist. Are there specific questions we should ask at our next appt. There is so much information on the internet I don't know what to read first.

I see its been 5 months since your post. My wife has recently been diagnosed with PD. Neurologist seems good though. We are kicking off with Ropinirole, starting with .25mg 3xs/day increasing dose to 1mg 3xs/day by week 4. hoping for the best. I interested to compare medication experiences.
