SHOULD I SEE A NEUROLOGIST WHO IS A MOVEMENT SPECIALIST

Post a new topicby WOW721 on Thu Jul 23, 2009 1:44 am

I have been going to a neurologist since 2006. I am taking requip. He is not sure if Pd or parkinsonism. My symtoms include poor balance, lack of arm swing, occassional of scooting feet mainly right foot, wil have slight tremor face, finger but rare. will at times have difficulty moving in tight areas often will have to make myself move. recent problems with drooling, and pain in my calves. I, too, have very pronounced anxiety and depression My neurologist is not a PD specialist or movement specialist. People started noticing an awkward movement when I walked 4 or 5 years ago.
At about that same time balance issues began to become a problem. I have fallen back on the bed, chair, or against things. I cannot walk a straight line. I would fail a DUI test. I like my doctor, but am not sure if he is listening to changes such as drooling, swallowing and urination issues?
