I have PD lead a support group or PWP's recently asked if re a drug could be substituted compazine since drug contraindicated Parkinson's patients. I have a listing of contraindicated drugs, it doesn't include suggestions replacements. Is re such a listing ??? Is re a better alternative than compazine PD patients? Please advise Thanks so much! You are correct that in some cases Compazine (and similar drugs) could result in unwanted side effects. Many of the antiemetics (anto nauseau) drugs have these side effects. Visteril is an anti nauseau drug that is not a phenothiazine (but a type of antihistamine) that may be more tolerable.
