My RSD started in the foot as well. My horse fell on me and smashed my foot. Unlike you, I get along with Neurotin fairly well, but my pain was still so extreme that even on a maximum dosage, I didn't see much of a future. Since July 2007, I have had 11 sympathetic nerve blocks under x-ray. While I still have pain, it is bearable, and my skin now looks and feels normal most of the time. I am able to ride and work, and I have a fairly optimistic look on life. Nothing is worse than hurting too much to enjoy what you love in life.
