Cissy:
I was looking around the internet to see if there was any new info on RSD and found your post. I had a multi fractured leg and shattered ankle from a work related accident and after many surgeries, I am left with a non functioning leg (in a wheelchair) and RSD. I have been living with RSD now for almost 2 years. I am disabled thru social security now and will not work again. Depression is one of the hardest thing to deal with concerning RSD. Having pain 24/7 is so hard to deal with. RSD has changed my life completely. I am 45 years old with 4 children and I can not even drive. I am not sure what to say to you except look for a good pyschologist that you can really talk to about how you are feeling. How does your family see you and your RSD? FAmily support is so important. So is friends. I lost my friends after my accident because they just did not understand my RSD and now that I am not working (all the friends were from work) I just don't see them. Actually I was looking on the internet too to see if their was a pen pal type program support for women with RSD. Having someone to talk to that is dealing with the same pain you are helps alot. You are not alone, remember there are others out there living their lives or trying to figure out how to live their lives with RSD.
