Hi my name is Penney I had foot surgery on Aug. 10th. My foot stayed swelled, I had burning pain in my big toe and 2nd toe, also felt like needles were being stuck through the top of my toes, I assumed it was because of nerves being messed with during the surgery, I wear a compression sock all the time, go to PT. 3times a week, not getting better yet.
PT.guy said it’s RSD, my Dr.(podiatrist) that did the surgery said it’s not and it’s to soon to tell. So I went back to my fami...Read the full article

Well I know for sure now! I got my test results back today. Not only is my foot messed up, now my whole life is! I know I shouldn't be but I'm so angry about this don't know what I'm going to do. I will more than likely loose my job over this. And my mind!

In my experence, I would start looking for a cronic pain Dr. as soon as possable. If it dose turn out to be RSD it is better to catch it early. If your regular Dr won't do anything find one who that will. I have had this since 1987 and you do not want that.

Thanks Thunderbird I can't get in to see the neuro. Dr. until Oct. 30. It has gone from my toes to my whole foot and ankle my family Dr. said it is aggressive and I don't have a lot of time to get it in remission. But what can I do if I can't get in quicker, I've given him a name and # of another Dr. and he is trying to get me in there, I'm hoping it will be quickly! This is something I do not want it is a horrible thing to have. I pray for everyone who has this. What caused you to have it? Any suggestions of what I can do for this I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks Penney

Re: don't know for sure????
My story or a small part of it is under CRPS Type II by Anthony. One thing I have found is to be vigelant with your Dr. without upsetting him or her. Ask a lot of quistions, get lots of documents about RSD/CRPS, and keep your head up. The one thing I learned is that some medical conditions take some time. Most of the treatments are very expensive and insurance companys want and need documentation. You can get very frustrated waiting for results. I want to wish the best for you, wile you wait keep a pain log of your daily pain for any Dr. you see. I have found that humor can be the best medicne, good luck. Thunderbird
