Re: learning to relive

Hi Sammy,

Yes, I was always go-go-go. I LOVED shopping; almost to the point that it was an addiction. That is what I hate about this RSD; it stopped everything. I am so crippled up, to get around outside the house, I need a wheelchair. I haven't went that route yet by myself. I usually go with someone who can help me. I use the walker in the house; basically just dragging my legs along, as they hurt way too much to actually step on them. Both of my hips are shot due to the osteoarthritis & osteoporosis.

I also say Thank God for this site. I just got my computer at Christmas and finding this forum has literally saved my life. I have always lived with depression way before this horrible pain and this just adds to it. Talking with others who understand what we live with really helps alot; knowing you are not alone in this battle.

I have not tried to get into rsdandyou. I did open up the site once; but did not go any further. I will have to try again.

Hope you have a good night. Talk to you tomorrow. Prayers to you and to all.

Hi Sammy,

I'm glad you got a couple shots to help with the pain, however, with anything they do for us, it does not seem to work long. Isn't it ridiculous that you have to go back tomorrow; you mean to say they could not do them both today.

I feel abit better today--I did not have to lay down at 3:00; so that is a good day. When I really feel lousy, I usually have to lay down in the afternoon for a couple of hours. That was never me--I would have never thought of laying down in the day.

I'm glad that your daughter can take you shopping. How many grandchildren do you have? I never had any children. I have just one sister and a niece and a nephew; they are my family. As we spoke about before, I really do miss my mother.

Blessings and prayers to you also. Talk to you tomorrow.

Good Morning Darlene,

It was a yucky day yesterday. The pain pump didn't work so it was a really painful night for nothing.
ARRHHHHH It's moving into my knee now. Oh well what to you do. Learn to cope I guess. I was glad to read you had a good day. I hope you have another good day. I send my pain free thought out to everyone today.

Hi Sam,

I'm sorry the pain pump isn't working (I was really hoping that it would) and that you had a yucky day.

I, too, had a terrible night-I felt half decent yesterday, but today my legs and feet are again throbbing like toothaches.

I guess you are right--what can we do except learn to cope; that is about it. I really wish there were an easy answer.

I hope your afternoon is not too bad.

Talk to you later.

Darlene,

Thanks, but it all good. I'm really fine though. I start going to pm clinic Friday. And I just got my approval for my power chair. Yeah!!!!! I will be mobile again. I know that your on medicare just as I am. If your looking into a power chair I know of a great company that helps you and you have no out of pocket expediences. It's covered up front instead of you having to pay for the chair then having to be reimbursed since none of us have that kind of money. It mat help you also. If you would like that information left me know. I really hope you have a better day.

Hi Sam,

I'm glad you are ok. I'm glad you were approved for your power chair. I have a "buzz around"; I was blessed to have a family member give it to me. Can you believe they got it at a flea market type place, for what they tell me what an unbelieveable amount. They wouldn't even let me pay them for it. I am so glad to have it; I still try to hobble around on the walker as much as possible.

As soon as I see the vascular dr. on Friday, I am going to make an appointment with pain management. Since recently being approved for Medicare, maybe I can get a little bit of relief. I know I am in the 3rd stage, so it is hard to tell just how much it will help.

I hope you are ok today; my feet have been burning and throbbing terribly.

Talk to you later.

Darlene,

I so happy that you have the mobility that you all need. I think its what keeps us going. Now If winter will just go away and it's summer come that would be a good thing. Can't complain to much. We have had a really mild winter which is really unusual for us. A normal winter, we are buried up to our eye ball in snow and ice. Pain has been out of this world since i don't have a block in. With the it block took the edge off. Which was a god send since I still had good and bad days with them.

Have a good day

Sam

Thought for the Day - It is our choices..........that show who we truly are, far more than our abilities.

Hi Sam,

Yes,I have about all the mobility there is--canes, walker, wheelchair, jazzy. I wish I had my "old legs" back and could throw all of that away. However, that is what I dream about anymore. I really do; I actually have dreams that I am walking.

I, too, will be glad when winter is over. The cold weather nearly paralyzes me; in September I was still getting around with my two canes, but as soon as the cold weather and ice and snow set in, I was done. I'm glad you had a mild winter; we had alot of ice and the past week we had several days when the temperature was below 0.

When do you get another block? Hope it helps.

Hope tonight is good for both of us. Last night was terrible.

Talk to you tomorrow.
