Post a new topicby livingwith on Fri Aug 17, 2007 5:01 pm

I am a 43 yr R.N. with RSD. I was in a car accident in 1987. My leg was under the car for at least 1 hour. My leg would not heal and it took 3 years before I could walk. 20 yr later I have a dx of RSD I have tried plenty of meds and now I am opting for the spinal cord stimulator. Have anyone received one?...Read the full article

I have left hand RSD. The stimulator did not work for me. The stimulation travels the length of the nerve from the spine. Since the nerve is normal until my hand, the stimulation is too strong in my upper arm. It was almost painful in my upper arm when I felt almost nothing in my hand. But it would not hurt to try. The trial is temporary for a week and if it does not work, it's like you never had it in. Good luck.
