RSD - 20 YEARSI have lived with rsd for 20 years/17 diagnosed. My rsd is full body/systemic (1%) and fairly under control. My journey is fully documented (original medical records) and it is amazing at how many times it was missed. I could have been spared a lot of pain. I believe my journey can help. My case can be used as a teaching tool as well! We really do need all of the awareness raised as possible. Chronic pain is life changing. It breaks up families. It causes financial devastation. Re: RSD - 20 YEARSI'm sorry you have to live with this excruciating as I do. I have a story in itself about my pain problems. I am so tired of it all. Mine first started as tarsal tunnel which led to surgery. Everything from that point on has been a mess. I have been to doctor to doctor that I'm tired of it all. Rsd is what they feel is going on now. I had 2 nerve blocks done and he refused to do anymore because when he does them my back/hip hurts really bad from that point on. I have been told that my hip is a result of fibromyalgia. It's there hurting all the time. I think the RSD is in there also. I'm going back to see him one more time to see if there are any other options. I didn't like his attitude the last time I went, but my therapist said I need to go back and see what he says. If I'm not happy then, find another doctor. RSD has to be treated by someone and not to give up. I have family that really ignore the fact of it all. Out of mind is like out of sight. I get depressed with this whole pain thing, it just destroys every thing going for you in life. Family just gets tired of it all also! Please give me any advise possible.
Re: RSD - 20 YEARSI am nineteen and have had RSD for three years now. It started in my left leg and has spread to my right leg and my right arm as well. What do you mean exactly that you have full body RSD? I have heard all kinds of different things that can happen and don't really know what to believe anymore. I am trying to find anything that would help with pain and tolerance I can because I am currently trying to attended OSU and I think I miss more class then I attend due to not being able to get out of bed. All doctors tell me is well this is what you have take pain meds and hope for the best. I have a pain stimulator in my back that sometimes help the pain enough to get me to sleep but it doesn't even really do that half the time anymore. Any information you can give me would be absolutely amazing.
Best Wishes to you! love, Lillie Neal, OK
