Something pulled in her groin area. She thought nothing of it. She continued her normal routine the following day with some feeling of uncomfortable pain.
Soon she relied on a cane and we began our immediate search for a good doctor. The search lead us to numerious hospitals in New York City, New Jersey, Vermont, Mass.Conn...Read the full article

Re: RSDDear Rick, I am so sorry for what you and your wife are going through. In 2000 I was injured by a patient ripping my arm off and after having a slap lession/bancart repair I was diagnosed with rsd. In 2004 I was spasming all over my body and kept asking them to check me to see if the rsd had spread. They did some tests and said I had also developed fibromyalgia. In 2006 I was injured at work trying to get out of a chair to fast to help a resident. I injured my sacroilliac. Since that injury I have had noting but problems with my leg. The pain is horrendous. Some days its so hard just to stand up. I see myself in a lot of what your wife is going through. Please make sure you question any injury to the sacroilliac joint and make sure they test it to see if rsd is there. Hope this helps you. Sincerely Mazie P.S. Be strong and keep the faith someday there has to be something that works for this horrible disease.
Re: RSDDear Rick,
You must be a really good husband to be so supportive and concerned about your wife. The best advice I can give is to keep her moving as much as possible in spite of the pain. It's so important to move to keep this illness from progressing. It's tricky because the pain makes you want to keep still, but moving it is the best thing to do. I always tell myself that the pain is not harming me it's helping me when I work out. Also, Neurontin seems to be helping me some, but I'm in the early stages of the illness. I fell through a plate glass panel in January and got a concussion, sprained neck, cuts and a sprained wrist. My orthopedic doctor could not figure out why my pain was spreading into my hand and fingers. My pinky finger is deformed from the bone malformation. Now it is spreading into my left leg. I am also taking some natural supplements that really seem to help (I know because I notice it when I forget to take them). I take Glucosamine for keeping the joints flexible, Fish Oil for the circulatory system, Vitamin C to keep my resistance strong and B-Complex for nerves. She is more than likely really depressed so encourage her to fight this thing. I tell it and myself that this is a miscommunication in my system and that we can calm down now because the injury is over. Meditation and prayer work wonders. I hope something here helps you and tell your wife not to give up! Best Wishes from Dee Dee in Seattle!
